Summary: European Culture

Most of the languages spoken in Europe are Indo-European. Education is very important in Europe, since in Northern Europe, the population is highly educated. School is mandatory for kids for at least 10 years. Most books written in Europe have helped influence other literary works. It was also where most of the world’s famous fairytales were written. most memorably the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen.

Hans Christian Andersen wrote some of the most popular fairytales in the world. Many of which were in Aesop’s Fables. He lived in 1805-1875, and some of his works included Thumbelina, The Ugly Duckling, The Princess and the Pea, The Brave Tin Soldier, and The Emporer’s New Suit.
