The Indus River flows from Tibet to the Arabian Sea. It is the longest river in Pakistan.
The Indus River is very important. In 2500 BC, what might have been the world’s first cities were built by a civilization in the Indus River Valley. The Indus River is considered to be sacred, and helps irrigate the land. It is the most important water supply needed for agriculture and food production in Pakistan. It is also a good supply of potable water.
